Nigerian Stock Market Sustains Downtrend With 0.39% Loss

The Nigerian equities market sustained yesterday’s downtrend following price depreciation in Okomu Oil, International Breweries, Dangote Cement and MTNN. The All Share Index (ASI) declined by 0.39% to close at 29,818.8 while the market capitalization closed at N13.1403 trillion. The market breadth was negative as 20 stocks, led by Champion Breweries, closed higher while Okomu Oil top the 21 stocks in the loser chart.

Zenith Bank (2.39bn), Zenith Bank (409.96mn) and Access Bank (13.67mn) were the most actively traded stocks. The total volume of stocks traded was 2.91 billion in 3,324 deals and the value of stocks traded was N11.22bn up by 186.20% from N3.92bn recorded at the previous trading day.
